Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health Study: The Field Interviewer's Job

The Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health, the PATH Study, collects information on health, tobacco use and awareness of tobacco regulations, product warning labels, and advertising. The PATH Study interviewers locate respondents, gain respondent cooperation, use tablet computers to gather demographic information, and help respondents with a self-administered questionnaire on the tablet computer. Interviewers also teach adults and youth to collect urine samples using self-collection kits and set appointments for health professionals to collect blood samples from adults.
